Animal Wellness Center of Athens (AWC Athens) is veterinary, small animal practice conveniently located just off Atlanta Highway in Athens, Georgia. The co-founders of the practice are veterinarians Dr. Angela Dodd and Dr. Lisa Stacy who have spent decades in Athens dedicating their lives to helping animals live the long, happy and healthy lives that they deserve. In 2017, Drs. Dodd and Stacy also welcomed veterinarian Dr. Sarah Cleary to the AWC practice. All three veterinarians are graduates of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Angela Dodd, Dr. Lisa Stacy and Dr. Sarah Cleary have over 30 years of veterinary experience combined. Along with their experienced and friendly staff, AWC Athens offers a full range of pet care including medical, dental, surgical, orthopedic and wellness services plus boarding and grooming.

Our veterinarians, Dr.s Dodd, Stacy and Cleary are proud Georgia Bulldogs! All three are graduates of the prestigious University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, and as such, they stay in close communication with the University's Veterinary Teaching Hospital— with it's vast and highly specialized knowledge base. The University of Georgia's College of Veterinary Medicine is in the top ten veterinary programs in the U.S.

Our Covid-19 Safety Procedures
Our main goal for 2020 and 2021 has been to ensure that we are offering the best care possible while continuing to keep our clients and staff healthy. We have lengthened our appointment times to ensure that you are able to speak with your animals' doctor to address all of your concerns. We are also practicing social distancing for prescription pickup and appointments via curbside protocols. COVID-19 has changed numerous things about our clinic but we want to ensure that we are still here for you and your animals while doing our best to keep the health of our clients and staff a top priority.
